A few stores like GameStop have also started taking preorders for both consoles in anticipation of this restocking event.
So while Best Buy has plenty of them in stock now and is releasing more tomorrow, it’s possible that you could come across a retailer with more units at other times and prices may vary slightly depending on where you live.

Check-In Early

world of video games is changing, and Microsoft is leading the charge. The company just released its newest console in November – Xbox One S (they also announced a new model coming out this year). The Xbox One S has all of the features that you would expect from a gaming system like 4K resolution for watching high-quality videos and immersive graphics; however, it does not have backward compatibility with previous generation games.

good news is that Microsoft’s original Xbox One is still being sold by retailers around the country, including Best Buy stores. So what’s next? We’ll post a list of participating stores here so you can find one close to home!

Have a Backup Plan

It’s not over yet. Microsoft is hoping to restock more consoles in November. However, there are no guarantees that these will be available either. If you’re looking for an Xbox One S or X and haven’t been able to get one yet, here are some tips for how you can maximize your chances of getting a console before they’re gone forever.

When Are Stores Going To Re-Stock? The best way to find out about upcoming stockings is by keeping track of what stores post on their Twitter accounts. Retailers typically post updates about when they’ll have more consoles available via social media. For example, Best Buy posted  Keep checking those accounts throughout the day so you don’t miss your chance!

What  About Online Stores? Another option if you don’t live near any brick-and-mortar stores is buying online from sites like Amazon or GameStop where a console may be in stock again soon. What Is The Best Way To Maximize My Chances Of Getting A Console?

Know What You’re Getting Into

There are two ways to get your hands on a console during the restock. You can go into a store and buy it outright (which will take some time because there will be lines), or you can order online and have it delivered right to your door. The latter option is more convenient, but it comes with a few trade-offs.

For one thing, you’ll have to pay for shipping (which could run upwards of $50) that’s not included in the price of the console. Another downside is that you won’t be able to physically see what you’re getting before buying it; so if you’re looking for something specific and don’t want surprises, this might not be your best bet.

Conclusion

Getting your hands on an Xbox Series X during the restock can be challenging, but not impossible. Follow these five tips to increase your chances: stay updated with restock alerts from retailers on Twitter; use a restock tracker to monitor times and dates from stores like GameStop, Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy; check multiple retailers, both online and in-store, for availability; be early at stores and keep an eye on online updates to snag a console; and have a backup plan by considering alternative methods and locations for purchasing, including different retailers and online stores. With persistence and preparation, you’ll have a better shot at securing your Xbox Series X. Good luck!
